While we're on the subject of vintage style bathrooms this week, we must talk about vintage advertisements.
I love vintage magazine ads! (The ad above is available at A Paper Reverie.) We used to have a large collection of old 1920's and 1930's Good Housekeeping magazines and I've always enjoyed thumbing through the old pages searching for those few unique spots of color that marked an especially beautiful illustration. There are so many goodies in those old magazines, but the color ads are truly the best part. Each one is a work of art that is perfect for framing.
Here are a few more vintage ads that would look awesome framed and displayed in your bathroom.
This ad from 1948 is from French Frou Frou.
I love the colors in this bathroom ad from paperdealer.
Here is a very beatitful and unique French ad from the 1960's. You can find this at someoldnews.
Here is another Camay advertisement found at Nickadizzy. I think this last ad is so cute and fun.
Framing old advertisements is a charming, inexpensive way to bring a vintage touch into your home, and I think they are a must have for anyone who loves retro decor.
