After much sweat and toil, Nanette's vintage 1940's bathroom is complete! All of that hard work definitely paid off, because her retro basement bath looks great. I love the beautiful blue tile and the authentic vintage fixtures.
Nanette's 1945 transitional ranch home needed a second bathroom in the basement, so she set out to design and build a bath that looked as if it were part of the house originally.
She found all of her beautiful, authentic vintage fixtures--the 1940's American Standard toilet, pre-war Crane sink, and vintage medicine cabinet--at a salvage yard in Portland.
Of course, for the pefrect retro bathroom, Nanette also needed to find authentic vintage wallpaper to hang on a feature wall.
Superb choice, Nanette, and well done! The feature wall looks great, and the wallpaper and linoleum flooring work together perfectly.
The vintage hamper and fan are exceptional accents as well.
