I was in my workshop preparing samples for a customer yesterday when I heard a *knock knock* on the door upstairs. It was the mailman delivering a much anticipated package to me. (yippee!) I loosened the tape with my fingers, giddy as I could be, and unwrapped Rachel Ashwell's new book, "Rachel Ashwell Couture Prairie" which showcases her beautiful 46 acre bed-and-breakfast in Round Top, Texas. The Prairie combines the best of Shabby Chic Couture with Texas' true rustic charm to create an overwhelmingly breathtaking but marvelously modest country fairytale.
I have always been so fond of Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Couture style with its soft white hues, precious ruffles and roses, and sweet pastel accents. Likewise, Rachel Ashwell has also been fond of vintage wallpaper, which is undoubtedly another reason why her style appeals to me so. I greatly admire artists and designers who, seeing the beauty of vintage wallpaper, can capture its divine essence and create the most heavenly settings. This book is stunning. Such gorgeous photos (taken by Amy Neunsinger) immediately transport you to a place of beauty, romance, and peace.
Hannah's Treasures had the privilege once again of working with Rachel Ashwell and supplying her with vintage wallpaper for The Prairie. The photo above shows a small scrap of Hannah's Treasures wallpaper on the pages of a lovely guest book.
