A couple of weeks ago, our whole family traveled down to Tennessee on another vintage wallpaper chase. These wallpaper trips always become family affairs with some combination of me, my husband, my daughter Hannah, her husband, and my younger daughter Emma partaking in the adventure, but this was the inaugural escapade for all five of us as a whole group. The car ride down may have been tight, but the good company, great memories, and beautiful vintage wallpaper were well worth it.
This wasn't the first time we had traveled to Tennessee for wallpaper. Four years ago we stepped just inside West Tennessee near the Arkansas border to collect a few thousand rolls. This time, we made it all the way into Middle Tennessee, near Nashville. (Could East TN be next on the list? Fingers crossed!) On both trips to Tennessee, we met wonderful people and heard incredible stories. We cherish these stories because the history of each wallpaper collection is so special and unique. It gives us such joy to hear how wallpaper that is 50, 60, or 70+ years old has been a part of so many people's lives.
Though we're still in the midst of processing, photographing, and posting these patterns to our websites, we wanted to share with you some of our favorite patterns that we've run across so far.
